Getting a Motorcycle License or Endorsement: All residents operating a motorcycle in New Jersey must have a motorcycle endorsement on their existing driver license or a separate motorcycle license. For additional information please visit www.njmvc.gov. Note: Anyone under the age of 18 is required to take the Motorcycle Safety Education Program Basic Rider Course. How to add a motorcycle endorsement to your driver license: Choose either enrollment in a basic rider course or begin by purchasing a permit at a local motor vehicle agency.
